History of PYC

Established in 1905, the Pequonnock Yacht Club moved from its namesake Pequonnock River in Bridgeport to its current location in New Haven in 2009. PYC has expanded significantly in our current location.

Location

The Club and Marina are located on 700 feet of waterfront in the historic Oyster Point district of New Haven, Connecticut. Our neighborhood is a balanced mix of residential and maritime, including a public shoreline and beach.

Membership Opportunities

The Club offers qualified individuals the opportunity to join as either full or associate members.

Full members have voting rights in the club’s business, may lease slips and use other marina facilities. Associate members have access to the clubhouse and all its amenities, and may participate in our social events.

Visit our web site at www.PYC-NH.com for more information. Call us at (203) 773-9460 or email us at
[email protected] to request a membership package.

Our Clubhouse and Amenities

Commanding an unobstructed view across New Haven harbor directly into Long Island Sound, our clubhouse is the hub of inside social events, meetings, and general fellowship. The marina surrounds the clubhouse, and our outside balcony overlooks it all.

In additional to a full-service bar, the clubhouse has a dance floor, pool table, fireplaces, an ATM, and catering facilities for events. Meals may be ordered directly from the adjacent Sage restaurant, and will be served by their wait staff. Club House areas may be rented by members for private parties.

Other amenities include on site parking, waterfront boardwalks, gas grills, and men’s and women’s restrooms with hot showers and laundry facilities. Ice,  and pump-out are available at our full-service marina.

The Marina

The Marina comprises 130 slips on six docks. In 2012, a major dock upgrade will be completed. All slips provide water and power hookups. In addition, the club has a field of 21 moorings and a designated dinghy tie-up area.
