History of PYC
Established in 1905, the Pequonnock Yacht Club moved from its namesake Pequonnock River in Bridgeport to its current location in New Haven in 2009. PYC has expanded significantly in our current location.
Location
The Club and Marina are located on 700 feet of waterfront in the historic Oyster Point district of New Haven, Connecticut. Our neighborhood is a balanced mix of residential and maritime, including a public shoreline and beach.
Membership Opportunities
The Club offers qualified individuals the opportunity to join as either full or associate members.
Full members have voting rights in the club’s business, may lease slips and use other marina facilities. Associate members have access to the clubhouse and all its amenities, and may participate in our social events.

Driving Directions
From New York, Bridgeport - Interstate 95 North Exit 44, Kimberly Avenue, (exit ramp splits). Bear to the right at the end of the exit ramp. At the first stop light, turn right onto the Boulevard. Follow around to stop light at Howard Avenue. Take a right onto Howard Avenue. Follow Howard Avenue to the end. PYC is at the end of Howard Avenue.
From New Haven, New London - Interstate 95 South Exit 45, the Boulevard, bear left (exit ramp splits) off the exit ramp coming to a stop sign. Take a left onto the Boulevard. Follow to the next stop sign (.3 of a mile) and turn Right onto Howard Avenue. PYC is at the end of Howard Avenue.
From Hartford - Interstate 91 South Follow I-91 South to I-95 South (towards NYC). Follow I-95 South directions above.
From Route 34 Follow route 34 Eastbound until you reach Ella T. Grasso Boulevard. Take a Right onto the Boulevard. Follow to How-ard Avenue. Take a right onto Howard Ave-nue. Follow Howard to the end. PYC is at the end of Howard Avenue

Our Clubhouse and Amenities
Commanding an unobstructed view across New Haven harbor directly into Long Island Sound, our clubhouse is the hub of inside social events, meetings, and general fellowship. The marina surrounds the clubhouse, and our outside balcony overlooks it all.
In additional to a full-service bar, the clubhouse has a dance floor, pool table, fireplaces, an ATM, and catering facilities for events. Meals may be ordered directly from the adjacent Sage restaurant, and will be served by their wait staff. Club House areas may be rented by members for private parties.
Other amenities include on site parking, waterfront boardwalks, gas grills, and men’s and women’s restrooms with hot showers and laundry facilities. Ice, and pump-out are available at our full-service marina.

The Marina comprises 130 slips on six docks. In 2012, a major dock upgrade will be completed. All slips provide water and power hookups. In addition, the club has a field of 21 moorings and a designated dinghy tie-up area.

Launch, Haul & Yard Facilities
With our 30-ton travel lift, tow motor and hydraulic yard trailer we can haul and launch boats up to approximately 45 feet LOA. Power and water hookups are located throughout the storage yard for use during spring commissioning and winterizing operations. We also maintain excellent relationships with vendors who provide services, including general maintenance, winterizing, shrink wrapping, spring commissioning and detailing. Located on-site is an independently owned chandlery/ship’s store (Ser Marine.)
