PYC Transient Info

Transient power or sail boaters will find their ideal home-away-from-home at Pequonnock’s top-tier location while enjoying a stunning panoramic view on the west shore of New Haven Harbor. The surrounding neighborhood is the historic City Point district of New Haven which is a stone’s throw from a variety of attractions in the downtown area. Tie up at the assigned mooring or slip and check in at the bar in the clubhouse to receive a keycard for access to club facilities and docks; just ring the buzzer by the door for guest entry.
Our floating docks offer power and water making your stay comfortable and safe on our protected docks while you take advantage of our upstairs clubhouse, shower and coin-operated laundry facilities, and the 4-star oyster bar and restaurant, Shell and Bones, on our first floor. In addition, outdoor BBQ stations are available for use along the deck. Our clubhouse also offers a small bar menu with locally prepared pizzas, hotdogs, and small meals if you’re looking for a quick bite.
Our marina offers a fuel dock with Valvtec marine diesel and gas with our friendly dock staff there to assist 5 days a week. We encourage interested transient boaters to book with us through Dockwa.
In addition to our floating docks, we have a recently renovated mooring field available just outside of our sea wall entrance. The club installed all new Helix Mooring Systems in 2020 so that whether you’re staying one night or long term, you can rest easy knowing your vessel and equipment are safe. Although we do not offer launch service, we do have an available dinghy dock in the marina.
As mentioned above, we are just a short cab or Uber ride away from many of New Haven's well-known landmarks: walk the campus of Yale University, visit historic museums like The Peabody and Yale’s free University Art Gallery, stroll East Rock Park, see a show at Shubert Theater…the list goes on! When your appetite calls, get a burger from Louis’ Lunch where the burger was invented, indulge in the nation’s BEST pizza (locals will argue the best pizza spot, just ask our staff and members and enjoy the ensuing debate), grab ice cream at Ashley’s or Italian ice at Libby’s; there are a plethora of options in New Haven’s incredible food scene. We look forward to seeing you this boating season.
